just read that Google has introduced a new site called Knol..... its more like Wikipedia and users get to submit articles to it!! to me it seems like competition for Wikipedia!!!! and Google is determined to take over the Web!!! what do you guys think??? here is a link to the site http://knol.google.com
I have a question for anyone who has submitted an article to Knol. I tried out the service over the weekend writing an article. I used the publish link but my article is not live and can not be found by searching. Does anyone know if there is a waiting period before they become live? Does it have to undergo any editorial review? Knol can be found at this url: How to save on steel strapping
never used it...but i am sure you can learn something at Wikipedia .. here is the link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Knol
Yeah, we get to fill it with content for Google, then they will begin to restrict it. Same old story. Get this new fad whilst its hot and good.
Google did release it a tad bit early; however, it seems as if they have worked out a lot of bugs in the system. Knol seems to be working a lot better for me now.
Yes, heard about Knol and wrote a knol also here- http://knol.google.com/k/sunil-gupta/do-you-know-what-is-knol/3o43dw2gf5byt/2 and wrote about it in my blog also- http://www.dailytechnologytips.com/2008/07/google-knol-top-on-search-left.html
man, does google ever quit? they want to take over every little niche out there and every1 out of business. sucks. because they so big they think they can take over anything they want. reminds of walmart and starbucks. sorry starbucks lovers. it's not u, just the franchise. they almost took out business for all mom-pops coffee shops out there. back to google. i'll just stick with wikipedia...
People will all over this. I'm a bit left behind in the news since I just found this out now but I bet it wouldn't hurt trying it out.
So far I've written threee: Salvia Divinorum, Amanita Muscaria and Psychotria Viridis I like how those belong to my account instead of the anonymity of Wikipedia. More incentive for me to publish.
