Due to continuing high sales of Video Game products, Amazon.co.uk has taken the decision to change the fee structure paid to Associates. With effect from 00:01 Friday 1st August 2008, the referral fee payable on any Video Games Product under the Performance Fee Structure will be limited to a maximum of £10.00 per Video Game Product, regardless of the Qualifying Revenues derived from the sale of any such item. http://affiliate-blog.amazon.co.uk/2008/07/video-games-pro.html Vagrant.
Thanks for info Luckily that I didn't promote PPC for Vedio game, so this new launced rule doesn't effect me much ^_^
the cap is 10GBP... but it doesn't say if thats daily or monthly. Over at the discussions boards at amazon associates UK the guy that posted the announcement is supposedly going to check with the people that made that rule and verify what exactly it means.
The cap is not daily or monthly, it's the maximum you can earn from a single sale. Does anyone know what the current cap before the update is?
Items listed under the electronics section of amazon UK are caped at £7. The £7 cap will still remain. From the 1st Aug Video Game Products will also carry a £10 cap. (yes an X-box etc, is electronic, but is listed under video games section on amazon uk) The caps are per item. There is no per day or what ever, it is per item, and an order can have as many items as the person wants to order. The Wii console is still excluded from making anything for affiliates from amazon uk ie 0% £0 https://affiliate-program.amazon.co.uk/gp/associates/help/t36/
