Hi. I have just created my first website template using Photoshop CS3. I've made sites before but not using PS3. I am struggling with my convincing sales pitch. I have to agree with Blackhat33, there are too many colours for me too, my eyes don't know where to look first. I do find the content and the layout to be effective though.
Even I Agree with you guys , there are two many colours .. just try to make little bit changes over it
Thats right, I totally agree, hire a good designers just to change something for you, and make the site more professional.
So you started the process backwards... Well, don't know about sales pitch, but the first thing I'd do is get your content text to a dynamic font size and then NOT blow 600+ pixels at the top with headers and banners before users even get to your actual page content. Also, if you are going to have a web development and web design site, you should show off the PROPER use of code. Multiple H1's nested in a double DIV for no good reason? No images off degredation? Clearing Breaks? Alt text that has NOTHING to do with what the link text is? Presentational images in the markup? If nothing else, ease up on the use of images instead of text.
I think that you have a lot colours, and your domain name is too long... Scale from 1 to 10, you get 7+
My initial reaction was "Wow, BRIGHT!". Loud colors for sure. Taking a second look at it, was "This is a large popup ad". Every pixel is screaming at the visitor, and your point will be lost due to deaf ears.
