Does anyone know how to allow a Master Reseller to create other Master Reseller accounts without granting root access???? Regards Matt
I don't think a reseller account can create another reseller account in WHM/cPanel. In this setup Site administrator or root account is the Master reseller. All others come with reseller privileges only. If you need such a setup go for a good hardware node with multiple vps installation. Each VPS can be a master reseller and they can have resellers under them.
Do you mean 'Alpha Master Resellers', i.e. Root -> Alpha Master -> Master Reseller -> Reseller -> cPanel Account If so, you will need to have someone write you a seperate peice of software, as an addition to Deasoft's WHM Master Resellers. Jay
Deasoft has enough bugs in it to add more on top of it, very bad idea in my opinion and according to the deasoft website and Brett him self you could lose your master reseller lic if you modify his software like that.. Just my 2 cents. not that anyone cares.
@IwhiC I think you are either lucky or unlucky with the software, as we've been lucky so far and see no bugs Also, I don't think modifing the software was the suggestion Merely adding a new plugin (for example) that would allow an additional layer of reselling. Jay
I have not written one officially (i.e. for sale or production use), but I have in the background. It's not very hard to do To avoid confusion, it's on our domain (say www.example.com/alpha-master-resellers/), where each Alpha can login and create as many masters that permitted by the script. I hope that helps you, Jay
HELP! Can anyone tell me how to upgrade a client's (master reseller) reseller account he created to a master reseller in order to activate whmreseller on it? Eg: My master reseller 'A' created a reseller client 'B'. B appears in A WHMReseller panel as a subreseller I want to upgrade B to a master reseller in its own right and use WHMReseller. I cannot see B in my root list only in the reseller center account page! Please help someone! How do I do this manually using Root so B has WHMReseller Matt
Ok you kinda lost me.. here I seen tha tyou sent me a PM the other day but now i lost it when i went to reply to your pm.. Ok so what you are saying is your subreseller b is not showing in you master reseller area (root) but does show up in the reseller center.. I have had this happen only when some of the virtual hsots were missing.. in the reseller center is his domain next to the user name (again virtual hosts missing) with out that doamin showing up in your main root master reseller then you will not beable too upgrade.. It is hard to say what is going on with the information that you provided. It could be numerous things liking missing virtual hosts or just simply a wonderful bug in the whmreseller. but you can try down grading the reseller b and then upgrading him back to a reseller through root that may help and it may work..
