My PR changed from 0 to 4 Ovenight - What Happened?

    Hi

    I am new to SEO and PR , I have been checking PR of my blog http://www.laughitout.com for past few weeks and it was 0 . Today when I checked the same today it was 4 ... don't know what happened. 0 to 4 in one day ... what did I do right :).

    Does any one know how PR work and how this could happen? Is it normal ?

    PR doesn't update daily, not even monthly. From time to time google updates there pagerank system and guess what? That happend yesterday ;).

    There was a PR update which is still continuing so that will be the reason for the change in pagerank on your website. Google updates the toolbar pagerank every 3 months not precisely every 3 months however with in a couple of days.

    Just keep on posting new articles to your blog. It's no problem to get from 0-4, the problem is to stay there over time.

    My PR went from 4 to 3, however I haven't been working on it as much as I should. This has made me work a bit harder now because I do not want to drop any further.

    you are into digital point and you have signature pointed to u r site. i think its the better reason, check your links in site exporer of yahoo, you will see how many links you got from Digitalpoint,

    Lucky you. Didn't realise the PR allocation had happened until I read this post. Mine stayed the same. Been concentrating on link building this quarter and it's obviously not paid off at all...

    Keep up the good work. PR 0-4 in a few months is pretty damn good!
