I can do around 22 to 25 in one go (not more then that) Good to see that some of us doing above 200 in one go DON.
Agreed... doing them very quickly doesn't do anything. Anyone that does them quickly, "NEEDS" to hit a gym and SEE how they're really done "properly". PS to others: Just because you can do 100 push ups, doesn't mean your stronger than someone, who can do 50 push ups. I've seen some light weights "easily" take out heavy weights. It's all about technique and speed, not strength itself.
I used to do one hand push ups when I was in versity. Or push ups with my feet up on the table - which is much harder than if your legs are on the floor.
You need 40 push-ups in two minutes to pass basic training. But you will need to be able to do 1000 a day as you are constantly dogged out by your drill sargent.
I doubt anyone can do 200 pushups in one go. For those that do, they probably have improper form and technique. Or they're cheating themselves by doing half-pushups. When I incorporate pushups into my workout routine (after deadlifting, benching, and squatting), I can only manage about 3 sets of 30, because I'm already really tired. Plus there's about 2 minutes of recovery inbetween. Ahhh, this is starting to sound like a bodybuilding forum I visit.
Every day I do 50 of them, then go biking for about 20-30Km.. Its been a daily routine for about 2 months now, feels great!
