Detecting IP Clicks

    Is there a way to detect every one ip that click on the ad through AdWords for the IP exclusion tooL? I mean you have to know the IP of the remote machine before you can block it...

    yes you need an analytics software on your site.


    Try using open tracker or statscounter

    True I didn't think of stat counter I forgot about them we've been using Analytics for a long time now. I thought maybe AdWords had something, but I'll check that out.

    unfortunately adwords does not provide any IP tracking or IP reports. I suspect they are in the works

    Yea that would be better if they. They do have a IP block though from what I was reading in the AdWords Manual which you are probably aware of.

    It's for visitor privacy too. The IP hostname could even get you to someone's address (I had an ISP that provided lot of info about me in the past :) )

    ISP's are not allowed to give out that information.

    I do not think google is not providing for that reason since IP information is easily obtainable. You can even get it from your server logs

    I use statcounter that gives all ip addresses and clicks data to track.
