Looking for alternate traffic sources

Hi all,

I have a small problem with my site... It's currently receiving 10k unique visitors a day and have been doing so for the last 2 months. My site is placed in the top 6 when searching for "watch movies online" which gives a steady stream of visitors, but my problem is that I can't seem to increase my traffic. My goal right now is 20-30k visitors a day... I see a lot of other sites relating to mine which get's a lot more traffic than I do. So my question to all of you is this... What am I missing here? There must be some traffic source I should take advantage of but which? For example, a site like 66stage .com has an alexa ranking of 3,075 which is a lot more than mine, which is above 70,000 ,how is it done?

BTW: Traffic breaks down as this: Search engines: 80% - Referring Sites: 10% - Direct: 10%

I suppose you're already using Sidereel for promotion some of your videos.

 

I suggest you use social media sites such as StumbleUpon.

 

Dude, pay someone to do edit n republish video on any VideoSite like Youtube. Youll see some great unique!

 

Yeah I'm using it some, getting around 500 visits a day... I've used a auto poster tool bought on this forum, but it doesn't work anymore

 

Do you mean uploading movies to those sites? Haven't really thought of that..

Also tried stumbleupon, but with poor results...

 

Here is the catch

1) Find video from YouTube, good number of visitors >100k
2) Download the video
3) Do editing inside Windows Media Maker
4) Reupload back on Youtube, Metacafe or any video site
5) Creative, by using descp to optimize the result

p:s- many good videos come from entertainment spot, use it and maximize it.

Yes... 10k traffic in total each day. 80% from search engines 10% from referring sites and the rest 10% is direct traffic... I can't really see what I'm not being honest about?

Try digg.com for more traffic

 

Thank you... No I'm not listed in any big directories. I have heard that it's not worth it... I could try to submit something to digg, but I'm primarily looking for a steady stream of traffic.

I think he means downloading a popular video from e.g. youtube and then put your domain in the description box for traffic. I have tried this with some movie trailers using a script which downloads the video to my server and watermarks it and then uploads it to my youtube account, but I think this works best for affiliate site e.g. ringtones offers...

 

I dont know why you think it is a big deal he gets 8,000 people through a search engine daily. Some get 3-5x that many on some of the biggest keywords out there.

DMOZ, yahoo and digg.com also is not giving me much traffic.

 

This is the first i've heard of this re-editing youtube videos strategy...is there any problem with doing that ethically/etc
