    hello everybody,
I need a ready script to make a website for a school, something like:
    http://demo.2daytemplates.com/ism
    http://www.schoolgen.com
anythings that do the job will be great, ready to pay wise money for the right script, nothing much requested, just as in the previous demos: teacher's corner, student's corner, administrator's corner and a parent's corner ...etc
any help is very appreciated folks :)

Thanks a lot for your help, I have already searched sf, psc & hs and found nothing matching the demo I quoted above, if you to instruct me to a specific script it would be very appreciated and again I am ready to pay a responsible amount of money if what I'm looking for is available

Is blackboard free and opensource? We are also using it in our university. I'm amazed at its functionalities.

It is certainly not free nor opensource, in fact it is not cheap from what I heard.

I see. Can we compare Blackboard with Moodle? Is Moodle powerful enough for a university not as big as Harvard?

I have seen Moodle, it is good and can be for a large university if the resources are planned carefully, however you will need a lot of work to get it to the standards of Blackboard. I would guess most school administrators don't want the burden of maintaining Moodle and would rather take a paid software like Blackboard so that they can have someone to blame if anything goes wrong.

I just contacted them after reading your post, the script is amazing 'yeah' but they asking for a lot of money. I am ready to pay somewhere between $200-400 as for SchoolScript (http://www.bluesoftweb.com/schoolscript.php) but the problem is their demo version is not working probably.
I found a very good script called FreeSchool (http://www.cpss.it/portaleFS/index.php?lang=en_UK) it's free and full of functions but the interface/front end is not user friendly at all, anything similar?
I really appreciate all of your help folks :)

Uhhh.. Well that's nice. Can you please put it back up? (Or if you could put up a demo just for those who ask for it) I've been searching for a script for weeks, hoping the demo would start working to see what that one is. At least put up some basic info or screenshots.. I have no problem paying $299 for a good school system, but I'm not gonna buy something I can't see..

I'm in the same boat, Muhammad Mustafa.
The best I've found is: http://www.calorisplanitia.com/e-school-management-system.aspx
However you would need your own Windows server to run it since it's in ASP and requires MSSQL.

PHP & MySQL would be great, but there aren't many good choices.
And I really need something up by the end of next week. :(

Would you please to put the demo again on demand? I'd like really to purchase it, but without a demo or even scheernshots
put even a demo for those who would like to purchase it!

Decade, freeschool is built on php&mysql, the problem is within the interface which is really terrible, the one you gave a link for seems great but made using asp.net which I'd like to keep away from and use php
as you in the same position and need it fastly, I'd put my voice to you asking Nick to put a demo for us (even a private one with links to us via pm) its a good $600 in the way man ;)
