link:domain.com and Webmaster tools Backlinks updated :D

    For about a year, all I have seen is one backlink to my site when I check using the link:domain.com. and that 1 link came from an internal page on my site:eek:

    Today that changed.. I now have 9 links.. and only 2 are from internal pages on my site :D

    And webmaster tools is showing updated internal and external links as well.

    First PR.. now this.. The big G has been busy.. Ahhh.

    curious to know how many actual backlinks your site has?

    Well Yahoo site explorer says... Inlinks (1,441)
    And G's webmaster tools says.. All pages (total links) 1379

    All my sites in WMTs and link:domain.com were updated, so I guess everyone else got the update too.

    yes, backlinks always update several days before the PR update.

    I don't know why, but in google webmaster tools, my backlinks have been decreased about 30%. I don't check links via the link: operator as it only show a sample of the links that a site have.

    Isn't that really messed up how Google does that??? they admit in the webmaster tools that you have 1379 links (yahoo see 1441), yet in their link: command it only shows 9....... ridiculous

    my blog [e-techcheck.blogspot.com] has less only 11 backlinks.

    how to increase the number.
