Hello there. I have about 4000 images that's around 3gig's HQ in 200 diffrent folders and i wanted to rezise them without moving them so they stay in the folders, i wonder if anyone know of a program that could do this ?
I would also be interested in this answer. To the best of my knowledge, there is not a program to do mass resizing within folder structures.
There are two options that I know of. If you use Linux, there's a command called "convert" that does exactly what you want. You can write a little script to spider the directories a resize them. You can combine "find" and "convert". Under Windows, I use a program called "Paint Shop Pro"
Record a custom action in Photoshop (kinda like a macro) that resizes and saves a document. Then go to File>Automate>Batch and run your action on the directories that you want resized. Try it on a few test folders first, and maybe make a backup of the original images in case anything goes wrong.
Try Resize Pictures Plus, it offers lots of handy features, like (batch) resizing, etc. http://www.resizepictures.net
I don't know about doing it in batch form. I use paint.net to resize and Pixillion to convert formats if necessary.
well,I'm currenty using this tool and it can processe 30 images in about 6 seconds... so yes it's fast. thanks
