I use checkpagerank.net, it also informs you of fake page rank.

 

Hey, does something surprise you? Did Google ever said that they support such sites? I personally gave up buying links from links directories..

 

Old news but yes many directories have been penalized.

 

probably "to get links", but not traffic.

 

This is nothing new... as far as I know it's always been like that.

yes, PR has been really screwy this time. I had big huge original content site go from PR4 to PR3, and brand new site with hardly any work jump from nothing to PR3. I don't get it.

 

Too many people rely on cheesy directories to artificially boost their PR and try to manipulate their SERPs. It would not hurt my feelings at all to see all of them go down to PRnothing.

Nothing happened to me on the two sites I actually care about, though a domain I just registered and haven't even developed turned out to be PR3...

 

I use the google toolbar to check page rank, works like a charm

Yeah, they're punishing all the free submission directories but they're not doing a thing about all the scammer bidding directories.

One more reason to forget about Google and move on with life.

 

That's old news,
Buying links are banned from Google, you better try Free Directories.

 

Paid vs Free isn't the problem...quality is key.

Most directories have become web 2.0 link farms...

 

You obviously don't know anything about bid directories!

You cannot buy links from any of my directories! You can pay for a review to get included, then if you are included you can bid them up. But you can never buy them! I only add content driven sites! English only!
