Today and yesterday I'm getting an unbelievable CTR (yesterday was 15.48%) and Today is currently 28.43%. Now, my average is roughly 1~3% and only earning $1 max. Today so far I'm on $13.22 which is amazing for me. But as I've said my CTR has jumped yesterday and today. Is this likely to last? My research into where its coming from is Yahoo through 1 keyword which has organically drawn in 351 people today so far.
It's pretty high. Unless your site looks like an MFA site, I'd say it's too high. Of course it depends on your niche, on the content of your site, and the place where you site's visitors come from.
I heard that the average CTR is between 0% to 3% if your lucky you can hit 10% but if it goes to over someone once told me your account gets flagged
Its really high and moreover i guess it is not allowed to reveal ctr and cpm... can lead to probs so better remove that picture..
I think it was just impressions/clicks to make the cpm/ctr you weren't allowed to show? Anyway - update... Nothing I can do about it really since its all coming from Yahoo and is organic according to Google analytics.
Hmm do one thing that mail about your stats to adsense team so in future if you get flagged you can show them that you told them about this earlier .
Hi, Msg Adsense team, let them know about it. If you had lower CTR before, tell them that and update them with the new CTR which make you wonder.
Thanks for the advice guys! I've e-mailed them explaining the situation and hopefully it will be just found out to be a fluke 2 days! Even though it would be nice to have this everyday A little view of where the traffic is coming from - As you can see its mainly from Yahoo via 1 keyword. So surely it isn't a case of invalid clicks or anything? So I guess it should be fine...
Try not to take into consideration the CTR figure for only a day. Sometimes a spike is pretty normal. However, look into the All Time CTR which should give a better indication on how well you site has been doing.
A 30% CTR is significantly higher than the norm which could potentially raise a red flag for Google. However, for a few of my sites, I've seen a consistent CTR of 12-15% everyday this week. It could just mean that the type of ads, ad placement and color scheme are matched up well for your niche. Hope that helps!
CTR for medica and health related sites are always higher compared to normal nbut 30% is obvious... too far from normal..
