Anyone Noticing Rankings Changes????

I am noticing much better rankings for my sites. Also, my backlinks went up and my PR went down.... Weird... Google is strange...

I did notice a surge in number of backlinks, however pagerank has remained at 2 despite swelling number of backlinks... hopefully next time when Google rolls -- I would pray to get higher PR!

My site is 5-6 weeks old. PR of 3 now My other sites have risen to PR2

 

My backlinks went up also, but pr went down? What is google doing?

 

I am still seeing my ranking getting even better as the day goes on...

 

Yea, I read it....That thread is about a PR change...Not Rankings Change...God forbid someone opens a new thread...

 

I have noticed several of my sites have had multiple pages jump. Nothing too spectacular but it at least gives me a new number new to look at on my google toolbar.

 

I see you on Page 3....Is that better or worse for you...or the same?

 

I moved from non-existant for some terms to pages 2 and 3....and from pages 6, 7, 8, to page 1 and 2 for some terms....

and my PR dropped....too strange...

My site has over 225-250 pages of substantial content...some with 5,000-10,000 word articles...

 

the google dance this time is very strange...my backlinks went down too and I went from PR4 to PR3.

 

my sites with 1 or 2 backlinks and some sub direcories are got hi rank during this update

 

I'm not seeing any changes.

 

Lots of changes for me, most of them going down, though.

 

yes, i saw some changes also.

 

I was so disappointed to find out my site PR had dropped to 4 from 5. It was a result of drop in good links I believe.

 

Pagerank update underway, even major shifts in SERPS, nice!

 

W4directory went from pr3 to pr2 but I have more backlinks and higher alexa ranking. Go figure. I think most people know that pr is important but not the only ranking out there. My alexa ranking as of today is 176k. There are millions or web sites out there and I've only been around for about a year. Not bad. I'm going to work on more backlinks and hopefully improve pr next time.

Because my page that rose so fast, also went through one or two previous Google updates with no movement from it's grey bar in the PR meter.

Then as soon as I reduced all the big images on the page to little ones, the page registered on the meter and rose up to a number 3.
