My site are also based in UK, for many of them PR is updated, mainly 1 point down.....

 

I started my site on June 10th. I have a PR3 now, beat that

 

I started a webmasters guide on a similar date to Phultu and have PR3 with little work! The site i have been working on has become a PR5 so beat that

 

pr's are very easy to get these days... i started my site in February and the last pr update about 2-3 months ago got me to a pr2... it took me about 3 month's to get a pr2 so it's really not that hard...

 

seems to me that pr3 and above should be earned by some consistency and longevity, some older sites with lots of backlinks are staying at pr1 or 2 or even dropping to zero, and google is giving new 2 month old sites with spammy backlinks a pr3?

google has really messed up the backlink algorithm this time around

 

I've got a PR3 on one of my sites that is around 2-3 months old.

Last update I got a site to PR4 in under 5 months as well.

Its really not hard, build your content, SEO it, then build your relevant backlinks.

 

Thats great, but how much traffic is google sending?

I started a site June 1st, and its now PR3 and is getting 1k unique visitors daily from Google searches alone.

 

first update gives me a PR3... but I am not satisfied because I have a lot of high PR6+ backlinks ...

 

I am satisfied with what I have. Selling a link to someone for $35 now

 

Just give up Google... they love pissing people off.

My old-ish sites got PR2 from PR1 and PR0 respectively.

My new site got PR3

Don't be so smug, that person who PM'ed you is a Google employee and now that they have your url, they're going to zap your PR.

the thing I found most crazy is that someone would pay $35 for a pr link on a 2 month old site

most of my sites went down. That was after most of them going up unexpectedly in the last round, so not too surprising. I did have 2 sites with a 1 point increase.

The PR thing is only good if you want to try to profit from it or exchange links. It won't help you in the search engines...you need keyword authority for that.
