Amazon affiliates, need advice.

I signed up with Amazon on HubPages, but I never made any money on it, no matter how much I target the products. I've heard of people making good money setting up selected product pages on their sites. Has anyone done this, and if so, how did it work?

Also, can you tell me how else you might have made money with Amazon? I'm beginning to think it's a very hard thing to do.

for example, I buy a hosting and domain, but the page is still astore, I feel its spending money if I buy a domain and I dont get any earning from astore..

I set up a recommended books section in my Templates site and it work out pretty well but with around 100,000 page views per month. I believe the best way is to write something about the product that you are promoting and if possible, give your user something free if they buy through your affiliate link :)

Definitely agree with you. I wrote a pillar post on my blog. I also put two book titles (with Amazon referral link) inside my post. The result was nice. :)

The only minor thing is their commission seems to be very small.

What kind of product could you give for free if someone buys thru your affiliate link?

Thanks, but I'm not talking about astore, but just incorporating the affiliate links into your blog or website. I see some good advice here, so I'll try those. If anyone else has any, I'd be happy to hear them.

Depending on what you promote.. For example, I compile a resource list for users to supplement a SEO software. Use your creativity and you will not have to worry about your competitors :)
