I also got some internal pages ranked with 2's

 

We still on the update is not done yet.

 

To answer your question, Google tends to update the PR tool every 3-4 months. However, PR is constantly updated and you should focus on always building backlinks.

 

Ok 1st and foremost this is not to talk about the Google PR. I will like to collect data to analyze this ongoing PR update.

What I am trying to do is see if there is any pattern on the drops/gains.

I just updated the PR's on my free directory and social bookmarking lists. About 1/3 of the listings changed in PR, many of which were dropped domains that lost most/all PR.

Normally the number of PR changes is higher, so I think it is possible the PR data we are seeing is quite old.

 

what complete garbage, my site physicsforums.com is quality with tons of backlinks and is only PR4, didn't change at all

 

Just install a Google toolbar and stop worrying about Page rank tools,
its the easiest and quickest way for me to check any pagerank status.

 

Hello DP members,

I just bought a new domain which has PR 4 about one week ago. But when I check my domain today, PR has dropped to 3.
My domain is still domain without content. So, since I bought it until now, I just let it without making website or blog. Also, I have seen in other thread which said that google has just updated the PR. Then, my questions are :

1. Did my PR drop when google updated the PR ?
2. Why my PR has dropped to 3, it it because I just let the domain without making website/blog or there is another reason ?
3. Because my PR has dropped to 3, of course I want to increase my PR again. Can I still increase my PR with some usual methods like link building, etc but with the condition my domain is still without content from website/blog ? If I can not, can you explain why ?

I hope all of you who can answer my questions will help me.

If google suspects any link sales or anything related with that, it may penalize the site by reducing the PR...

I am totally bummed. My one and only PR4 was a PR4 2 days ago, and today its a PR3.
All my other sites stayed the same, except 3 that went from PR3 to PR0.
How do you know when the update is over? If it's still in progress, is there anything I can do to get my PR4 back in this update?

Really dude. dont care about PageRank. If you spent 4grands on backlink its good. You will get higher in SERP, just because of your pagerank dropped doesnt mean that your SERP will drop
