    Hello
I launched a blog about design (http://www.verbaska.com/), placed Adsense ads and started promoting it.
I joined Deviantart and submited my works there and I gave there links to my blog (verbaska.com).
People from Devianart visited my blog but didn't click Adsense ads. I don't know why.
And I don't know how to promote my blog. Can you suggest me please?

Have you tried a pinging service after you update your blog?

Hi, I think the first thing you are wondering about is why the visitors who came from DeviantArt did not click on the Adsense ads. I should tell you the story about how I got started on the internet but I'll spare you that. It had to do with a banner and the promise that people would click on it. So, I know your pain. The sad thing is, that no matter how much traffic you do get, there is no guarantee that someone will click on the adsense ads, but even if they do then you are at the mercy of adsense to show those credits to you. So, the Adsense is one issue. You want to maximize the interest in the ads you are displaying. The bad thing is that Google has a condition of terms that says you can't do or say anything that would bring attention to the ads. So, if you want something to raise your advertising conversion rate, you need to change the place where the ads come from. You want to change to a place that will not prohibit you from developing content that would drive visitors to your ads. Then you could blog about those offers that are featured there, and promote the blog by doing so at the same time.

The ads can help you to promote the blog and the blog can help you to promote the ads. But Adsense is not the way to go with this.

    Pingoat.com or pingomatic.com

Whenever you update a site or a blog, you should always ping it. To ping it, just enter your URL and click PING or GO or whatever. That's it.

Deviant art people are net savvy. Net savvy people don't click ads.

Look for alternative sources of traffic. Deviant art should be good for getting a few backlinks from a highly respected site and set you on your feet.

It takes a while to start making money with a blog - don't feel discouraged.

Make the theme a little more unique, as this is a design related blog, it's almost a must to have a unique theme. Anyway, I think it looks good, keep up the good work!

It isn't the placement I am thinking of, it is the content. I'm not even thinking of the placement at all. If you have ads that people are not motivated to click on, they won't click them.

I second that the issue is more the content than ad placement, 100%

    Honestly,
I use adsense on my blog just to keep it looking at my site. Google owns blogger, but that doesn't mean they get there first. I also use widgetbucks. it is an ok site. I haven't built huge profits from it, but I have seen more money than with adsense. also, keep you blog fresh. At least once a week, but try to do it everyday. sometimes RSS feeds work. Bottom line, it is not a guarantee that just because you have links people will click them. And the more links you put in the body of your blog, the less creditblity is has for people.
