I believe that pagerank is completely judgemental upon the bias standardized by King Google.

For instance,

One site may contain very relevant information with many sites linking to it that have authority (but isn't running google adsense) and has a 1 pagerank
then

Another site contains almost the exact stats **but this one runs google adsense
has a pagerank of 5 or 6


Then again, if you were paying me, I'd probably put you up on a limb lol

I just got PR4 today!!!

 

most domains of mine are used for paid review, but some of them go up because there are no paid link... and other drop, it is may caused paid link which enough seen in sidebar...

 

Today (26 july) Google just updated my PR to 4

 

thehosted.com went from a 0 to a PR 4 in 2 months Ive had the domain

 

I got some pr 5 , but btw where is the "official PR update thread "?.

 

some of my domains is can't be anticipated only with high backlink... it's may need natural luck...

 

still pr 2. another have pr 2

 

Just for your information , the PageRank snapshot is minimum 4 and maximum 8 weeks old based based on new site data

 

how many hours ago did the update occur?

 

lots of mysterious drops in pr even though the sites increased in links

saw sites with hundreds of links all over different sites and they stayed at Pr0

Great news, thanks for the info, now i gotta go to see how my domain stays in PR

 

I did well. Some good results from all the effort with backlinks

PR0 - PR3
PR0 - PR3
PR0 - PR3
PR2 - PR2
PR2 - PR3

 

Alot of my strong sites have decreased its PR ( 80%) . and others weak sites kept a hight PR value

and the surprise one crappy site have increased its PR from pr4 to pr5

seems strange

 

Hmm maybe you added just too much submission to directories and made too many backlinks, you might have entered google's sandbox?

 

My forum went down from PR 3 to PR 2...this I had expected because for 6 months there has been virtually no post before I bought the forum...I hope next update I would see it back to PR 4 or 5 ....

The last update Google was too generous Giving alot of PR5 and PR6 - ( even to directories ) -

Now I saw that the majority of PR5 and PR6 have decreased its PR to PR4 .

Google dont have any Algorithm , Just Random PR's

 

My site got a rank 0 from n/a (it's only 4 weeks old)
does that means my site is penalized by google? I thought only penalized sites get 0 rank, and the new ones shows n/a
