Hello, I have a social networking site that is a unsaturated general niche. There are very few social networking sites that are dedicated directly to gamers. I have spent a month building this site with special graphics and other features dedicated directly to gamers by gamers. The sites that are there in my niche are not very well established yet so I believe I have somthing that will keep members coming back. My link is http://www.darkgamerz.net Onto my question, I am willing to dedicate 100-200usd a month to this site and I wont put ads on until at least 5-6 months down the road. What would be my best choice for my investment to gain members.
Adding an arcade section and having that "E-mail friend to beat your score". The idea is to get the friend to play and hopefully browse the site and sign up. My .02
$100 to $200 a month will be easily lost of ads but used carefully to build good back links will reap more benefits in the long run enabling you to have better PR and SERP. You can even sell links to recoup some of these money spent if by then your PR and traffic is good enough.
Well, why don't you get some articles written to the gaming niche and submit them to article directories. Also you could goto game related forums and make posts there and have your link in you signature to get people to come there. There are also game related blogs to you can go make comments on too. Yes pay people to do some forum posting for you on gamer forums. Do some link exchages when you can. Make something on your site go viral!
