Just wondering is it safe to give out ur SN number on the internet? Because most of the affiliate im trying to sign up asks for SN number...
If you are referring to giving out your Social Security Number (SSN) then the general rule is NO, NO, 100 Times NO, unless you are very very very sure the website is secure and legit. Places that I would feel secure giving my SSN online -Registration for College -Federal Government Websites such as draft registration or Federal Financial Aid Anywhere else, they have no real reason to need my SSN and I would never give it to them. However, unfortunately Clickbank requires that your give your SSN to get paid, for tax reasons obviously which I have been wondering myself, is there any other way to do this with clickbank, such as getting a tax ID number that is not my Soc?
Guys go to the irs website and get a sole employer id. That is what I am using. I can give that number to anybody that asks me.
I wouldn't worry about it. It's incredibly easy to get access to millions of SS#s from just one source. If you're a scammer there are much easier ways to get ID theft info than by setting up an affiliate program and recruiting affiliates. I'm about to write an article on ID theft and offer a new service that will check bank and credit headers as well as address history. But I want to focus on closing the sources the scammers use to get your info. It really angers me to see these free credit report commercials where the same CRA's that sold your info to scammers then loaned the scammer money and stuck you with the bill now wants to charge you 35 bucks to double check if they're screwing you over again.
I don't think that would be to smart to release it on web. It's your licence, not others, and if that licence get banned, you will suffer from that.
Another question. Am i required to give out my SSN for paydotcom if i am making like 50 bucks as of now?
Yeah, it's pretty safe now if it's with a reputable program/network AND it's on a secure server (https For your paydot com question, I say yeah. I gave mine to them to get paid, and it worked + I still have my identity.
sincerly, i don't have that trust. I would'n give anyone my licence. Because... is mine. I give the money for it.
Surprised that no one here has yet to mention that the affiliate programs need your SN so they can have YOU pay the taxes. If they do not request it, then THEY have to pay YOUR taxes. If your so paranoid, then register a company, and then you can provide them your EIN number instead.
Man the problem its i am only 17 years old but gonna turn 18 in 4 months and paydotcom requires you to be 18... And i have made like 4 sales already so yea i dunno what i should do now
