I was just scanned by a company called www. googlealert.com and after doing a fair bit of research I still don't know what it is.

Did someone purposely target my site or was it an automated spider? Anyone with know-how on this company would be greatly appreciated!

I want to get the latest on website designing, internet marketing - seo and ppc so what I did is to throw in a few keywords like this -

website designing news, web programming news, seo news, internet marketing news, ppc news, google adwords news, seo off page marketing news, seo forum, press release update

But, this does not seem to work appropriately - what do you think I must change here?

According to their DMOZ listing - it "Monitors professional interests online. Tracks the web for topics and sends new Google results by daily email. Not affiliated with Google."

I'm surprised they get away with using Google's name.

I dont think so. Perhaps they have a Patent as:

    Google
(global name, worldwide known, general + public) + Alerts (the tool the provide).

Although Google is a trademark it can be used is special cases, maybe they have a deal with google...

Wow, that was an eye opener.

How would i create an alert to get the latest information on website designing, programming and internet marketing on "Google Alert"? (I think I did not word it correctly last time)
