Should I buy domain?

Found a couple domains that are valued at $500 from estibot.

Is it safe to assume, I'll get atleast $50 from these? or is estibot pointless?

I personally dont trust esitbot, i think your assumtion is farily safe there but isnt there like 60 day waiting period after you have bought the domain till when you can transfer it. thats my only quarrel

No, it's not safe to assume anything with an auto appraisal site.

But why would you want to transfer out after just purchasing the name?

You can sell it the second after you buy it & push it to the new buyer.

it really depends, there is nothing better then using common sense to appraise some domains. I got a few domains that estibot for example values at $5000 but I dont think they are worth $50 and vise versa.

Before buying any domain I use my head, nothing else. You must use your sense before buying any domain.

I wouldn't trust estibot too much. Do so me research by seeing what similar domain names sold for. Also, see how often your domain name is searched or how many search results come up for your website. And in the end just use common sense, if the domain name is something like yasdhiw.com, estibot may say it's worth $xxx but in reality no one will probably buy it..

I think estibot uses some algorithm-like how short the domain x the number of vowels or something,it does not usually make sense,

replied to html privatly regarding quote.

I tend to find that for anything other than a .com you will get a ver poor estimate.

    gardening.com $1,000,000
    gardening.net $100,000
    gardening.co.uk $35,000

gardening.co.uk is a fully fledged site page rank 5 and just over 500K alexa. why is it worth pennies compared to the .com which is a blank site....

    there you go wonderful example.

I used to taste StarWarsTheme.com, estimated by estibot at $33,000 and decided not to keep it. I think that says it all.
