Please have a look at the Google ads in this page.

I am seeing such ads for the first time. It blends quite nicely with the text content and the site. Is this something genuine or a manipulated one. Does these links find any exception from the possible Google penalty.

Unless this webmaster has a premium account, manipulating ad's theme and looks is against TOS.

This is a PR8 site, so I think they will be having a premium account. So does that means if you hold a premium account, you can manipulate the way your ads look?

Yes. You can also get such adsense ads on your site if you are an Adsense Premium Publisher. But to become a Premium Publisher, you need to have 20 million page views! or 5 million search queries!!

Some of the Premium publishers are LinkedIn, CNN, About.com, AOL and MySpace.

Premium Publishers will have to sign a contract with google for a fixed rate per click for their sites and they are allowed to modify the ads with a mandatory "Ads by Google" tag.

We can only dream of getting there!

I am not sure if Google asks for any contract to be signed.

Premium publishers, like the regular publishers, get a mix of CPC / CPM ads.. there's no "fixed" rate.

I don't think premium users get to change the Adsense ad look..
