What can you recommend for receiving payments over $700? Shall I use escrow or paypal? I am a bit unconfident with paypal due to some reports, which makes me think of an alternative. I am afraid that once they have received their orders, they will have reports or have their credit card cancel the transaction leaving me with nothing.
PayPal. I use PayPal for $1000 transactions all the time. Anything over $2k - $3k and your going to want to look into Escrow. However this really depends on what product or service is being sold. High value = Escrow, Lower Value = PayPal
I use paypal for transaction of that size all the time. But, it is a risk to use paypal. They can lock up your account, and take the money on a whim. If you don't trust the person sending, you are at a much higher risk using paypal vs escrow.com.
Try Payoneer or Epassporte. It is much safer. And you can withdraw money from any Visa or Mastercard ATM.
I would defiantly go with PayPal, have the sender SEND you the payment instead of accepting it through PayPal's gateway. This will save you from the 3% - 4% fee they charge you.
I'd just be wary if you don't know the buyer well they could do a payment reversal through PayPal and can leave you with no leg to stand on, PayPal have a history of siding with the buyer regardless of details.
No,My brother tried. It will not automatically upgrade if you receive more than 500$ Paypal allows only 2 accounts per person.(personal & premier) You will get 2 premier accounts if automatically upgrade Thanks
Well PayPal have this option, so if you don't have ny trust on your buyer then you should use Escrow service for $700. If you think your buyer is honest then you can accept money in PayPal, but it should follow PayPal policy.
A digital product (a website). Thanks for the suggestions. I may be using escrow, or possibly Payoneer or Epassporte as suggested above.
Do not use paypal! Unless you know very well and sure about the buyer. There could be payment reversal and you will end up losing your stuff/service, money and your time. Good luck
