Wouldn't want to do it with school traffic, that'd be annoying. My mate did it in the snow 2 years back, said it was the easiest thing ever (cause there was pretty much no one on the road).

I highly doubt you failed because of the actions of another. It was probably the lack of action on your part that caused him to have to take control and then fail you. They aren't out to get you and the system is pretty good imo, you just didn't react how you should have clearly - if you'd been fast enough to brake yourself, it may not have resulted in a fail. I'm also from the UK btw.

No, the test guy even said I probably wouldn't have had enough time to move my foot from the accelerator to the brake in time, but cause he has to always cover the brake, he had the time. He said if it was up to him after seeing the rest of my drive (it was near the start) he wouldn't count it, but it was on the sheet and the carbon copy, so he couldn't do anything.

All good. I had to do the written test twice until I passed. What is the driving age where you are?

    Hi,

    Don't worry about the test.
If you are confident about your driving then you wont fail in driving.
Don't be nervous just relax and be confident about your driving.

Just try to follow your instructors instruction.
Adjust mirror properly at the time of exam.

Hope you will pass in 1st attempt.

Best of luck for the exam

The rules here in India are not so strict so I think I will get easily passed when I get to that age. ;)
