Back in December I had a ton of ebay auctions going. Everything was short duration and because of a huge volume increase paypal held about 40K on me. All I can say is keep talking to them, and don't lose it on them, because it will make things much worse.

I you are unable to resolve it, wait the 6 months. I know that this is a huge amount of time, but as long as there aren't any more complaints against you, you should get your money back.

If you can add me to your msn:alicanmail@yahoo.com(if it is possible..) I would be happy. I've never told anyone that I will refund the unhappy customers but I also refunded some of them(%50). Thats my personality and I'm not doing business to steal money. If i was, I wouldn't sell the site and go on doing that with unhappy customers. There is a lot of people in this forum whom I've refunded and I don't think this would be a good idea to mail them for asking help. I've called paypal 4 or 5 times and now they ask for a licence for offering service. I really can't understand them. I've sold a website and they tell me that i need a licence for selling websites or offering service. I will fax it and call them again. I'm really in a terrible mood.

I dont think you need a license in the US or any other country to sell a website. You can sell a website in your personal name without a license. I think that the person you were talking to has no idea what they are talking about.

That was the superviser I was talking to and she really had no idea. I told her I was not selling goods and been asked for bills for the goods then she told me "Why didn't you fax your licence?" I told her that I was NEVER asked for that and did not know that i needed one to sell a website or offer a service. But I have to do what she says now. Account is locked now and I have to fax her what she wants..

what i hate about paypal is the fact that someone can purchase digital goods (such as my scripts) from my site, then do a chargeback and be awarded the money as no physical goods changed hands. How can they do that to someone, so i am tempted to just send out the scripts on CD (instead of downloading them). I hope googles payment system (if it ever arrives) will protect sellers AS WELL as buyers

Tell me about it. Try being a merchant. The consumer always wins. CC Processors and banks are crooks.

Realize that money handlers like paypal or credit card companies don't view refunds as a good thing. Based on ratios someone who issues a lot of refunds becomes a high-risk merchant.

So when you got hit with a bunch of refund requests, you really needed to manage them carefully.

While I'm glad your account is working now I do hope that male comment wasn't implying that women don't know what they're doing, and was just to differentiate between the two people with whom you spoke.
