What do you lot use for keyword research? I've currently got a subscription with Keyword country and hate them. I'm after anything else, paid or free.

The Google keyword tool is really all you need. SpyFU is great for getting a list of your competitions keywords.

While google might help you in different ways, it is not a keyword research tool per se..No one tool can give you 100% satisfactory results, all the time..and may have to be used with other services..I have used Keyword country and in fact remember getting some good results...Currently, I am on the free 30-day trial of ispionage.com and quite frankly blown away by the results of this piece of software!! check it out..

Keep in mind, most of the keyword research tools out there are just guessing..that's right...just guessing. Think about it - where do any of them get there results? Look into it - are they relevant results, or are they old or just plain old guesses from very small search engines in limited markets?

This is an excerpt from Web 2.0 Traffic on Steroids

    "Go to this webpage: https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal
Write in the general keywords for your niche and select 5-10 long tail keywords.

After you've selected them go to this webpage: http://freekeywords.wordtracker.com/gtrends

Write in the first keyword out of those 5-10 you've selected. After you get the results don't look at info on the left but click on the icon for graphs. A new window will open and look at the part that says »Actual Visitors From #1 in Google/day«.

This is real traffic for the keyword. Now check all of your keywords like this and only use those that have more then 150 visitors per day and less then 20.000 Google competition."

432 back links aren't much of a back link. You need to work harder. If you got the money then advertise on ppc sites.

There are many types of services and software out there to assist with your keyword research. I recommend Wordtracker Free Keyword Estimator.
This will give you some of the basic information that you need to make decisions regarding keywords.

I am looking for a good review on Keyword Country.
What is it that you hate about it?
