because its half the price. an 80 gig zune is only 250.00, an 8 gig ipod is 350.00. The ipod breaks more often than it works, I have worked on too many. Love all my zune's!
Will you people stop talking about the Zune not having a touch screen? The Zune 80 is an iPod Classic rival, not an iPod Touch rival. Secondly the iPod does not carry as many features as the Zune. Wireless Sync Zune to Zune sharing Its Cheaper And yes it breaks less than the iPod.
I agree... I had a Zune 30 the day it came out and it killed the iPod, now, the Zune 80 dominates... the only problem is that the Zune marketplace is still a little faulty, but that doesn't take from the experience either way.
Wow, bad thread. The Microsoft Zune dominates the iPod in features and interface. My girlfriend loves her Zune and so do I. It's a lot better than the iPod - the interface alone is worth its low price.
I have the 4GB Black Zune and it trumps the iPod. Number one it costs $20 less than the iPod and it has way more features. I have radio, wirelessly sync my new podcasts and music over my home network (which i do all the time) and not to mention the fact that unlike the iPod the interface of the Zune is easier to use. iPod's interface has just become too cluttered.
Let me end this conversation: The iPhone 3G (if you can afford it) beats both the iPod Classic and any Zune.
Thats the problem with you people. The Zune s not competing with the iPod touch or the iPhone so get over it already. The zune beats all its rivals in everything but software. the Zune software still needs a little work.
