Many people are asking the same questions. You can post in the DMOZ forum to get an answer.

    it is dating website www.dateinto.com

i have got no answer from them when i emailed.
someone told me once, if the mod who approves on daily basis, in a bad mood, they would just ignore the request and delete it. Have to wonder what happened to my request to post in DMOZ directory.

    I submitted again today.

I suspect given your niche that your submission hasn`t even been looked at yet and even if it were I very much doubt that they would actually list your web site.

Your in a competitive niche with thousands of others and these categories get hundreds of submissions to DMOZ on a regular basis. So it will probably take longer for your submission to get looked at.

And the fact that you just submitted again means you are now at the back of the queue. You should just submit once and then forget about it and go work on your site.

Indeed, the backlog on a site in the dating industry for dmoz would be huge. Even if you are reviewed, you have a slim chance of making it considering the corruption of dmoz's editing model. Don't not try it, but don't care if you get it.

I have applied to DMOZ many times over the past few months as well and I haven't gotten a response from them either.

Everyone has the same problem. I have read from DMOZ editors that many of the volunteers don't really look at the submissions in their category. Instead they search out sites on their own to list.

You are better off forgetting about DMOZ. You have submitted and that is all you can do other than wait and wait and wait.

While you are waiting submit your site to other quality directories that will actually give you a timely review. :)

yea, dmoz isnt very reliable as many of the editors are just volunteers and many do not do their job very well

maybe you can use dmoz submission service company. Yes it is Expensive, but have high probability to be approved. Maybe some of the volunteers work at these company :)
