I got on some pretty crappy sleep schedules in college too between classes and varying day/night shifts. I found exercise and a good diet important when switching between the two. I wasn't eating right and felt tired all the time, even though naps are sometimes more harmful than helpful.
lot of people like us have a same problem like this simply its gets ok with time and avoid coffee or tea at least 4-5 hours before sleeping it works for me and i also hope same for you.
ha ha ha ha ha You make me laugh Once you control your mind you can sleep as 123 Make some research about the mind. You will get surprised. Good luck!!! Mike30
Its not a big problem. When u were in night shift u were used to work at night and sleep all day. This problem will be solved gradually when u start working in the day shift. So dont worry buddy. Or u can try things that others suggested.
I was working on night sched and really I don't like it tho I also have insomnia...I feel tired and sleepy whenever the clock pass at 4am.. Glad thing I was transferred to morning sched, so after work I do everything that is tiring so that I can have a full sleep at night.
Leah_Me, I've had problems sleeping my whole life. I am a chronic insomniac! Believe me, therefore, when I say that I have the best cure for you: read before you sleep! Yes, just read in bed when you want to sleep. It's totally natural, doesn't involve any drugs, and best of all, it's very good for your vocabulary, grammar, spelling, puntuation, and overall mind and intellect.
All these work - melatonin (natural and good); ambien (prescription needed); vicodin (prescription needed). I'd start w/ melatonin 3 mg and that's probably all you'll need.
Don't take any medicines for that You may slip into problems Gradually you will be habituated Believe me!
If you are grownup boy you can understand without explain. Simply try and post results of satisfaction here Edit: looked at your profile and found you are a girl lol. I dont know that will work on you but you need someone desperately to share time and feelings.
Physical Exercise is the best way to cure insomnia, leave a 2 hour gap between the exercise and going to bed though! Different things work for different people, some cold some warm water, some cold milk some warm milk, try them all!
