You will note that I didn't make any reference to Trademark or TM in my first post. I did however make reference to a DMCA which stands for Digital Millennium Copyright Act.

Any digital works including graphics, programming, etc are automatically copywritten by the person who created such works from the very second they are created. I am assuming that the owner of DigitalPointless was not the person who created the original DigitalPoint logo and therefore has no rights to use the logo unless DigitalPoint has given them permission.

I understand your rage and frustration about Digital Point, its members or the post made by idiots, spammers and scammers but there is no need to trash degrade or even bull every member.

Also try to cover the hosting as it is hosted on Directory Owners Forum.

They might make a mistake of identifying you as the you know who. :D

They didn't they don't end of debate, and SilkySmooth you ain't got a clue dude. Fact is way I see it is you dudes need to be patent with your knowledge before you all post as your ain't got a clue but maybe hxxp://www.digitalpointless.com/2008/07/19/a-lesson-on-trademark-infringement/ will help you.

And hey you lot ain't there some rules on keeping threads relevant?

And I got to tell you this dudes and dudettes, this Jaboora guy, one of the good ones, wanted to come on board but we had to decline as we spent all our budget on hiring the twins. :D

If your all so concerned about the law why don't you all fill in your tax returns quit pretending to be from the UK when your ass is in Brazil and so on, they are all more important legal issues than any of the trash you lot are hollering about.

Ain't what you think you know its all about what you DO know. ;)

to popotalk, you have to love someone who tries to do his homework, bit of track though, you like the red herring. :D Remember dude its all POINTLESS.

I'm also sure there are rules against people who have been banned signing up for multiple accounts in order to self promote, but what do i know :D

Never been on here in my life aint that a fact, so try it on dude your making this place look and act exactly why digitalpointless was made in the first place, to show how pointless this place is as its full of people who THINK they know things and aint got a clue. :D

Perhaps you should do some more research "Dude" and I do know what I am talking about thank you. Perhaps you, like the person before you will learn to read and note that I did not state TRADEMARK and I made no mention of the name, I stated COPYRIGHT for which you are infringing by using the logo without permission.

Yes there are, but as there are also rules about multiple accounts which you seem happy to break I have no problem breaking the house rules on this occassion.

    Good ones, yeah right.

My TR are fully up to date, not that it is any of your business. And I dont pretend to be from the UK, I am British, I was born in the UK and raised in the UK to two British parents, therefore that is where I am from. Where I am currently located means nothing.

    Clearly ;)

Dont take it personally Sabian1982 is just letting you know about dupe accounts. By the way you know much about Digital Point and saying otherwise that you've never been here before. So where have we learned all this crap about DP through personal experience ? :D

    BTW

That was a great laugh but Sabian was shot by a shotgun from a distance and it seems it got permanent wholes due to the operation. Nicoles Ritchie's meat has nothing to do with it. :D

Not true SS, as soon as you pay a designer, then that logo is yours 100% law. Because you named your company whatever, (Eg: You invented the name, it belongs to you), but if the name is included in the design, then the designer can't claim anything once it's been trademarked. You get instant copyright anyway SS, the trademark is an official thing though.

Then once you have it trademarked, nobody can copy it. It's all about stealing identity and preventing that - it's what trademark law protect against.

I've seen a lot of trademarks, and pretty much anything can be covered eg:

    mydaftwebsite.com
    daftwebsite.com
    mywebsite.com

see the above are all different right, but if someone tries to claim any of the above as their company name, then can be sued for it.

As Logos are often graphics and are trademarkable, then they get the same protection as wording gets.
