So I came up with this. And no, this isn't the system I've been talking about, it's something else I thought would work. It's basically heading into PPC in a foolproof way after you've proven that it'll make you money. Also for this to be more effective it would be best to have your landing page on a paid platform and not on blogger or something, PPC prices are way higher for that stuff. So this is what you do: Just do your article marketing or whatever just like most of us do all the time. After you've submitted xx amount of articles concerning a certain niche or product, study your conversion rates and what specific keywords have been profitable for you. If you're having a bad hop:sale ratio then tweak your landing page until you get it good. Then you go into AdWords, and start advertising on THOSE EXACT KEYWORDS - Driving traffic to the SAME landing page. First of all, since you know your payout on what you're promoting, and you know your conversion rates - you now know exactly, to the cent how much you can afford to pay per click for you to be profitable, of course you want to bid way lower than what you can afford, just don't break that limit. Second of all, because you're advertising the exact same keywords, the same kind of people will be searching on them - so the same TYPE of people are going to click on your ad. A pretty easy way to rev it up a bit and boost profits, and I don't really know how you'd lose money on this. Thoughts? Questions? By the way, no I haven't actually done this myself, it's just an idea as I'm just getting into PPC and absorbing everything I can.
You mean you will have many different landing pages for specific keywords? That's a kinda long... BTW, I remember I used Blogger as a landing page and my CPC was ok.
No lol. First you check which articles are getting sales for you, then you take the keywords those articles were built around and bid on those in adwords, ie put them on your keyword list. This ensures you will get the same kind of traffic and therefore very similar conversions. You just have a single landing page, and you test it first with article marketing and find profitable keywords, then you just advertise on those keywords in adwords and putting everything a bit more on autopilot without worrying about your rankings dropping.
hmm truly smart and effective way to test,as has been said article marketing is the best way to know profitable keywords and then using that keyword to set up profitable Google Adword campaign. so this idea will pretty work, BTW,how much you are generally spending on per click, suppose you are setting up proper adword campaign after thorough research on keywords ,so that you expect to get 1000 clicks,so can we expect at the lowest 5% conversion rate that is 50 sales at the most with PPC.
I haven't spent a cent per click, lol. I haven't actually touched Adwords yet, I'm just educating myself right now, getting into it very soon.
oh okay ,so putting all your efforts into bum marketing,it really require high motivation to keep writing articles day after day,But i am pushing myself hard to do it for atleast 2-3 months, since my first goal is to atleast reach the mark of 1000$,Let see when will I gonna achieve that, then can move to PPC .
Theoretically that makes some sense. I actually just started doing something like this for a landing page I've been doing very well with - naturally - so far though I haven't been able to get much PPC traffic to it. Not sure what the deal is. I never am with PPC. I hate it!
Dumb question - How do you really test what articles are making you sales, and what ones are not? Are you just going by total clicks and views?
Yeah well it's kind of complicated to track each article and keyword and all that, but watch your articles' CTR, and the conversion rates on your landing page and that should give you a general idea.
In a theory everything seems great When it comes to advertising, everything messes up.... Lots of clicks, no sales It happened to me
It seems like a good concept to me. Only I tend to think of it the other way round, looking to spend money to save time rather than time to save money. I would try something like, use PPC to detemine keywords then move into SEO to establish chaper traffic. Or even a quick direct linking campaign to test product conversion, then move into landing pages and articles if you get anywhere near break even. Same concept, just the other way around.
Yeah I guess that would work, except money-wise my way is a lot safer. With my way you pretty much guarantee your front page listings in google by paying for it. As long as you don't bid higher than the limit you calculated you can stay there.
Speaking of Adwords, my first PPC campaign ever is live. No it's not THIS system, just some direct linking to a non-clickbank product. Max bid at 11 cents CPC so I'm not too worried. Is the Estimated Traffic and cost thing accurate?
Actually PPC is a creature unto it's own. You can get vastly different results, just depending on which position you're in on the page. The best way to make money with ppc - is to go into it with some money to waste. Then you tweak your - words or phrases, ads, and positions - until you come up with a list that is profitable. The trick is to not waste too much money on words/phrases or ads that are not converting.
Never tried CPA with Adwords..... Come on, stop messing about. Do Clickbank + Adwords....I want to see your results You might inspire me to get back to PPC
