Adsense Earnings: Different Opinions Across the Globe

Recently I have been noticing that people in this forum are not just from the US. And now I'm REALLY curious about knowing:

    1. What part of the world you are from
    2. How much you would be okay with making daily (in USD)
    3. How much earnings it takes annualy (in USD) for your part of the world to enjoy a comfortable life

    So here's my one:

    1. US
    2. Around $50 a day (I'm still young)
    3. Not sure, I'm not old enough to know yet. I would have to guess $60,000 USD to support yourself comfortably.

Is that USD or Egyptian currency? And are you talking living high on the hog or barely scraping a living?

    (1) I live in Australia... Sydney, New South Wales.

    (2) I'd be pleased to make $100 a day.

    (3) I could get by on $30,000 a year. But I'd be comfortable with $60,000 or more.

These amounts may sound a lot if you live in some other places, but rents and housing here in Sydney are very expensive (and getting more so), so is oil and fuel getting more expensive... and that is affecting everbody! :-(

    1. Romania, but I'm from the U.S., which means I have those taxes to take care of, so that will affect my overall needs.

    2. $25 ($9000 / 365), assuming only income is from AdSense - see reasoning in the point below.

    3. Overall monthly expenses living here are just a touch over $400, so let's say $450. 12 x $450 = $5400. Now, to get $5400 post-tax and post-business-cost, that would need to come to about $9000 total income.

Or, revised for if living in the U.S., where I may end up returning sometime this year:

    1. U.S.

    2. $50 ($18,000 / 365), see below.

    3. $1000 x 12 = $12,000. Total income to retain this amount after considering taxes/costs would have to be around $18,000.

Anyway, this is for me as a single guy. If I had a family, these numbers would surely be a lot higher. :)

    1. Sydney, Australia
    2. $10 is fine
    3. You can get by for around $40,000 in Sydney with the rising cost of living, $70,000 would make your life a lot more "comfortable"

In Romania the minimum wage is about 250$ per month. The average, around $600.
With 1.000 dollars per month you have an above average life... a pretty good one actually...
2.000 dollars per month is a luxury that few Romanians can afford.
With 15.000$ per year I think 90% of the Romanians would be happy.
That's sad, because an average car costs 13.000 EUROs...

Could be. I'm content with my life here even at this level of spending. It also could depend on the location, too. I live in Oradea, which is one of the more "wealthy" cities, but is still extremely cheap. Living exactly the same way, but in the middle of Bucharest, might cost 50% more, or even beyond that. :)

$450 is just one bedroom/month in an average area. Downtown (Bucharest) can reach more than $1000/month on one bedroom.
Gas price is more than $6/gallon (in US measurements)
Food and clothes are more expensive than in US.
So just do the math :)

If you want, I can give you some more specific/detailed examples.

Plus, in Romania, everything is more expensive(especially the electronics). The online stores are not that good(most of them treat the customers like crap), we pay around 10$ for an internal delivery(that's huge, considering the delivery in U.S.A is free). Also we pay huge prices comparing with those in US.

Life in Romania is pretty much more expensive than that in US(with some exceptions, I think ciggarettes and alcohool is cheaper here, but I am refering at the cheapest brands). Also the food produced in Romania is of greater quality than that in US(we have peasants that sell their good in markets, most of the food has no chemicals in it). Except that imported fro

    Hi,

    1) I'm from Singapore
    2) Need US$100 a day just to get by
    3) At least US$50,000 annually to live comfortably

Over here, a mid sized Toyota sedan costs about US$44,000
