    Does anyone use wordpress for landing pages? If you have examples you can show me that would be great.

    I do. It works great. Just set a page as the static front page and then go from there.

    Is there a way to remove the sidebar from the homepage?

    Open index.php with a text editor and look for

    <?php get_sidebar(); ?>

    Remove the above snippet, that should do the trick

    It might not give the perfect results since I have suspicious, that after the removal of sidebar you will just have an empty space over there. The wrapper will not decrease the its size unless you dont have css experience to play around style.css

    Anything is possible with the will and dedication :cool:

    So you increase the width of the wrapper div?

    You can create a custom page template for your landing pages...one that has no sidebar, no or a different header, it can look completely different from your theme.

    That's good to know. Can the page template be used for the homepage, and can it display the latest blog post or is it just for wordpress pages?

    it can display the latest blog post also, for this you have to go in "sidebar.php" { by default theme } and look for that code... use it in your landing pages... :)

    or indirectly you can go there too

    I use wordpress for landing pages too. I'm not having much luck with it but I don't think it's because of the WP platform :)

    How is a custom page selected (once created) to be used within wordpress as a page for all landing pages created at the site?

    I have the same idea in mind, in wanting to remove navigation (so sidebar) and anything else distracting to a potential landing page visitor.
