I feel like a kid before Christmas, I haven't been this excited about a bit of hardware for a long, long time! ;)

So, do you think they're really worth the hype? (help me make a less emotional and more rational decision please!)

If they really are everything they're cracked up to be then where can I get one - no where seems to have any in stock yet...

    Cheers, p.

In my opinion they're not that great. The Eee is heaps small but not really great in terms of specs. The battery life is alright for a laptop of that size. I also like it how they use a linux Os. If the laptop suits your needs I'd buy it.

    Hey Bubba,

Thanks for the rational thinking :)

It does fit my needs in that I want a small cheap laptop that has great battery life - I also like the fact that it's got a solid state hard-drive (no moving parts and extended battery life).

...it turns out that I'm more broke than I thought I was so I'm going to have to cool my heals anyway... probably a good thing ;)
