I was moved from night to day shift....should I be happy for that? well I should...: but unfortunately I have insomia so its really difficult for me to sleep at night...big problem.
My friend can handle his insomnia by going to the gym after work in afternoon. He didn't do that oftenly, just to cure the insomnia. After few days, his sleeping activity became normal again.
beer can be dangerous for health. u need to take shower before sleeping. ur bed room should be far from tv lounge, and anykind of noice should not reach at ur ears. (traffic voice)
Here are some tips : - As mimm said, physical activity may be good, but not after 5PM - Try not to drink (too much) cofee, tea, coca cola... - Don't eat too much at dinner - Don't drink alcohol at dinner - Don't work, watch the TV or eat in your bedroom (bedroom must equal "sleep") But the most important thing when you have insomnia is not to force yourself to go to bed early. Spending hours in your bed if you're not able to sleep will not do any good. Go to bed only when you're starting to feel tired even if you have to wait until 2 AM. Besides, after having gone to bed if you are still awake after 30-45 minutes don't hesitate to get up, go in another room and keep yourself occupied until you feel tired again. I hope it will help.
What homebizseo says. I have it, you'll get over it eventually. If you really want to get to sleep try sleeping pills or reading a boring book. My recommendation: How to rebuild a big block Chevy engine. That will get you to sleep.
thanks....I may try a few of them like reading or not going to bet 'til I'm not drowsy...but I cannot say no on coffee I'm an addict on that...but i don't drink that at night...only hot choco...and I don't have anyone hottie beside me so I'll probably would not enjoy my insomia...thanks guys!!!I appreciate it a lot!!!:
You're welcome Be careful with medication... If you take something too strong, it might work but you may be dependant on pills to sleep... If you are really going for medicines, try something that will relax you first rather that something that will stun you !
Your biological clock will take some more time to adjust with the change in shift. Do some aerobics and if possible yoga but resist the temptation of medication.
Yeah .. I have the same thing .. I am working at night and all the day I'm sleeping .. But - I found a way how to take a sleep if I even don't want it .. Just turn on some really boring movie and woalaa .. Zzz..zzz...
insomia.. well you could have it for a while. try drinking warm water, and take a shower before goin' to bed. you'll see, you will fall asleep easily.
i guess it takes a while to get used to, its like jet lag but a bit worse . but its a good thing to have a day shift. give it some time
Theres this stuff called "sleep aid" that comes in a small spray bottle. What it is, is melatonin in a spray form. It works but gives you really weird dreams. You could also try melatonin in pill form.
I have insomnia on the very first day I was born. I am also in a night shift and very happy on that schedule. But, unfortunately, I was transfered into morning shift and it's like a torture for me.
