How much linking should I be doing? On my site that is an e commerce site I have the major pages linked from my front page and the linking is pretty much determined by the format of my site - in other words I set up a link from the front page for skirts, then on the skirt page I have 75 product pages, pretty standard stuff, I guess. My question is I have an article page that has one link on the front page to it and is linked to the other major section pages. How much linking within the articles should I be doing to the particular product pages ,and how much linking back to the article page should I do from the section pages or product pages. There are presently no links back to the article pages. Make sense?
Some text links in an article to individual product pages may work though also consider looking at this from a users point of view not just SEO, add links where it actually makes sense and would be of benefit to a user reading the page.
Have a menu on each page. Have 3 to 5 in page anchor text on each page. Have a anchor text menue for keyword at the bottom of the page.
I always make sure that every internal page has a link to the home/main page at the very least. Every page also has links to other internal pages too
