How do I get backward links? For Backward links I have done myself one way linking, social bookmarking, article submission, classifieds add and press release but after that I didn't got backward links. Please suggest me how I can get the backward links...
Create something worth linking to. Then when you get visitors to your site they will be more inclined to link to it.
To get backlinks, you have to start with orignal and exhaustive content. Exhaustive really means content you spent a good deal of time on creating and that can not easily be plagiated or incorporated in someone else's work. In other words: It must be easier to link back to you, then it is to reproduce your work (take a look at my site for some examples, if you want to. A link is in my profile). Once you got something of value, try submitting it where your target audience is. After that it is waiting for becoming discovered. In fact, you do not wait for discovery at all, but keep publishing more content. The more content there is on your site, the bigger the chances are for getting backlinks (someone might stumple in to read Page A, but then also finds Page B and C to be interesting and finally decides, that Page D contains something of value to his site to link back to).
Link building is something that takes time and patience. Like Hooperman Side, you need to have something that is worth linking to. If you have a good design, and your web-site has something good on it, eventually people will start to link to your site without you having to chase them. Link to my site with links from your high PR pages and that would be a "backwords" link. Just kidding. How are you checking your backlinks? If you are using Google, then it may not show them. Try Yahoo Site Explorer instead or iWEbtool to name a few. If you are article submitting, social bookmarking, classified listing with links to your site then you must have some links. You can also get some in your signature here when you get enough posts. I'll tell you what, I'll remove one of mine and place your url in it as long as it is not a bad neighborhood url i.e adult, gambling, etc. for a few days to help you out. keep patience and watch. may be in next google update you will get backlinks. its better to do your work. try to get links from relevent sites.

make your description attract users to click them, having unique statement the users will be curious......and try using keywords phrases that is eye catching like for sale : cheap,discount, affordable....well it depends on your niche....
I consent with seocipl and crimson. As by geting link, if your site is not provided good information to users then users may have migrated to other sites. And, how can you get the traffic & boost your rankings in SERPs? So, please modify your content.

I think this is a good way to get links if it is for your personal websites. If you are doing SEO for clients, I would not submit to directories because you can not remove your links (in most cases) once they discontinue services with you.
Perhaps try creating some viral content that catches peoples imagination. Naturally people will link back to your url to spread the word.
