I have been learning about affiliate marketing for a few weeks now. I got my landing page site up and running ( a .com site) and I have been writing some articles and working on link building and bookmarking etc. My problem is this, I feel like my landing page is too cheesy and spam looking, because I see a bunch of landing pages from sig links here on DP and a bunch of them look very professional. I feel like if mine was better looking I would do much better with conversions. So, should I just keep plugging away on article marketing and hope for conversions, or spend a bunch of time redesigning my site? Any tips / criticism / ideas are appreciated. (Check my first sig link)
It is ok... but there are some things you need to do: 1. The links along the bottom need to be corrected so they work (replace yoursitename.com with your actual site name etc). 2. Some people prefer to have their affiliate links redirect to the merchant's page rather than have their clickbank url showing. You could do this with a php redirect or something similar. 3. Is there enough information on the site to get them to click through to the merchant's page? Or are they likely to close the browser?
thanks for the tips Ganceann. repped. I was actually planning on fixing the links at the bottom tomorrow, as well as the php redirect. Those are more house keeping issues than anything. It's your third point that I am not sure about. Do you, or anybody else, think there is enough good information on the page etc?
I am not sure what the system does when looking at the page. There is enough information to get some people to click through - but not enough information that provides benefits of using the system to convince more people to click through.
