my girlfriend thinks im dumb?

so i started a penny lotto sorta sight (see sig) and my girlfriend tells me its a dumb idea. I disagree. we decided to let a few dp members decide, so... go ahead and dont worry bout my feelings

But yeah, it doesn't seem like a great idea to me :/

you do need a licence, but i think i worked around that. if not than maybe she is right after all

It's a stupid idea. For a start it's a Blogger account. Anyone serious would have a real site.

Could possibly work if you do it properly. But your not doing it properly. You need to have a real site instead of a blogger account and be properly registered and accountable, otherwise most people will think this is just a scam and hit the back button.

Any idea is not a "stupid" idea. The point is you have an idea, and what more can you ask for? If you work at it, and it doesn't end up working out for you, or becoming successful. Atleast you can learn a lot of good stuff trying to build it, promote it, etc.

And if you like your idea, and someone else thinks its stupid. Who cares? Take facebook.com for example. Someone told the creator of this site that it was stupid in the beginning. The site is a huge success.

Not saying that yours will plateau to a height of that nature, but just think.... If you listened to everyone who told you their opinion and you went on that basis, you would never get anywhere that you wanted to.

Take it with a grain of sand.... An idea is always just an idea.... You have to build on that idea and make it a reality.. I wouldn't listen to her. Good Luck

well the penny lotto no longer exists, for now. I have taken the advice of most and I am going to set up an actual site, not a blog, and get legal matters dealt with. thanks for the help.

 

I think it would be hard to market without it sounding like a scam. Especially if you host on Blogger.
