I hate delving into the realm of hypotheticals, but here's a thought: If you wanted to get rid of an adsense competitor, could you theoretically (METHODOLOGY REMOVED TO PROTECT ADSENSE USERS) his websites?
Are you serious with this question? Don't give other people who visit these type of sites ideas on how to ruin another man's life. For some people an adsense account is what makes them pay for bills/food/kids...life. Let's be serious for once and think beyond our noses.
You should know the answer to your question is CLEARLY yes, you could do that to someone...this "flaw" has been here for years and people do it, I don't understand the point of this thread, I apologize if I jumped the gun.
Uhmm. First off, what you are trying to do is illegal. If adsense finds out, you will be the one getting "DESTROYED." And If you want to destroy your competitor the only way to do it is by having a better business than he has, so that all the clients come to you and not to him/her and therefore running him out of business. If you have to cheat to get him out of business, it probably means your business sucks, so people still won't come to you. Regards, Nick
also, google checks who clicks, so if you tell them it is fraud, they have ways of finding out who it was that clicked the ads repeatedly. Those ip's are obviously different from the ones you login to your account with
Actually I wouldn't know that the answer is yes--in fact I was hoping you'd tell me why they have put safeguards in place to protect publishers. That is a serious issue that ANYONE could easily exploit--though not as simple as click bombing, it's impossible to report until it's too late
yes, you can destroy his business but it's not like all his backlinks will suddenly disappear. slowly hurting someone's motivation to continue unique content is unscrupulous and unethical.
Whoa who said I was trying to do anything like this? I don't think you even read my post--I'm worried about someone doing this to me!
The adsense publisher could work with google to see who the warez site is registered to and stuff like that in order to get their account unbanned and ban the person who the domain actually belongs too. That's one of the safeguards. Regards, Nick
Your thread title says "How to destroy your competitor?" so, I am pretty sure you just weren't reading what you wrote when you posted. Regards, Nick
Okay I didn't really follow that last part...how would you rewrite the title? In any case, given adsense's track history I think we can agree that the likelihood of them taking the time to track down the actual site owner would be very slim!
Yeah, you have to track it down and send it to them. That's kind of obvious. And of course, the thing is, there is the ultimate protection tool that adsense has, which is the allowed sites thing in their settings thing. Regards, Nick
There is enough for everyone, please do not harbor the thoughts of trying to destroy your competition. Others may be depending on their adsense for a living. There is something call Live and Let Live. Hopefully this is only a thought on your side which does not translate into actions.
Absolutely not--I would not use any of this on anyone else. It was a curiosity that I decided ask about--some of you were helpful and some were fairly vindictive about it. Whatever the case, this thread did not become the productive thread I thought it would. Mods-please close this thread!
