It's telling me that you get 75% off domain names, yet when i go to purchase a domain its still at original price. Whats up with that?
Are you referring to this?: Products must be new to the customer (not currently owned) to qualify. One 1 yr $1.99* .com, .us, .mobi**, .biz, .name, .net, or .org domain per each qualifying product; new, transfer or renewal. Recurring billing charges, existing product, domain renewals, domain backorders, premium domain names and domain registration products (such as Privacy, Business Registration, Express Appraisals, Certified Domain, Domain Ownership Protection and CashParking), Gift Cards, photo prints and merchandise, and some "add-on" companion products (such as additional hosting bandwidth and storage) do not qualify as product purchases. Only qualifying domain names included in qualifying purchases are subject to discount.
It had a $1.99 message then that 75% message, and I clicked read, the domain is new to me, never purchased before. Yet its saying $9.99 for the domain..
I have bought numerous domain names through them and the only way I got a discount directly from them was if I also purchased a "Non Domain Related Item" at the same time I purchased the domain I wanted. I typically buy a hosting account at the same time I buy a domain name so I usually get the discount. Another thing about godaddy is that on top of that discount if you go out and look up goadaddy coupon codes you can find tons of codes that will further reduce your total price. P.S. I don't work for godaddy nor have an affiliate account. In fact I barely like their service. I buy there because it is cheap and serviceable.
I believe you need to buy a qualifying product/service on top of a domain name to qualify for the $1.99 domain name. Buying just the domain name alone does not qualify for it.
Buy a non-domain product and you get the domain for $1.99 is what your referring to. Google GoDaddy promo codes if you want to get the discounts.
The 75% message was separate from the $1.99 message? I do not mean to alarm you but there's a chance that it is not a genuine Godaddy e-mail...but rather a phishing scheme. It's been a while since I read something on such e-mails which appear to be domain discounts. This may or may not be one of those, but I would err on the side of caution and do password changes etc. .
