Sorry for being so slow folks.

But I just found about this retirement, and this maybe old news to some but it is still very shocking. I receive a good chunk ($20 daily) with referrals alone.

hmmm time to go to cj or adbrite

    let me know your thoughts,

Yeah, Referrals are getting retired. Dont worry. It will still be accessible via 'Google Affiliate Network'...

Has anyone managed to hear back from Google's new affiliate program? I applied early last week and its been pure silence, not even a rejection (not that I've done anything against their policies.)

I'm wondering if / hoping that they're just really backlogged...I had some good luck with referrals and they've already retired my favorite program before the referral system itself. Figure I've lost $100 this month!

I applied several weeks ago when I first heard that the existing program was being discontinued. I finally heard back last week, however that is only step 1. You then have to choose individual clients and apply to them.

The old program is not being rolled over. It is completely different.

Well I stopped waiting for them to reply and I filled out a "lost password request." I got an automated reply in about five minutes and I've been looking around the system. There's nothing even close to what I was promoting - frankly, there's nothing impressive at all on the new network.

I don't think I'm going to waste any more time with Google's affiliate program, but I am going to have to hunt down a replacement.

After 6 days, my applications to two vendors are still "pending". My attention span is diminishing rapidly.

Later in day 6, got my "Dear John" letter from Target. #11 especially is a joke. If I ran an E-commerce site, why would I push their stuff instead of mine?

This is an ill conceive program largely being pushed to the wrong audience.

I tried to post the entire email but I can't post live links and I won't waste any further time editing it.

Hilarious! Two days after I started logging in and looking at the products and advertisers being offered they sent me a non-specific rejection letter and locked my account.

The performics network had about four educational offerings - referrals used to have 100+

I wrote them a letter wishing them luck finding the salesforce they need to sell this junk

Got my 2nd "Dear John" letter a few minutes ago. At this point I sent one back to Performics asking to have my account removed from their system.

I have better things to do with my time.

The referrals are quite useless anyway - they never convert (well almost).
It's just not worth it to use them so I couldn't care less...

I saw a few weeks ago in my account that they were being retired. I wish they weren't, I liked them.
