I wanted to see it long before Heath died...as I'm sure a lot of other people did too. I've heard nothing but amazing things about the movie... You sound like most of the critics...always bashing the great movies and praising the crappy movies.

    I saw it today and...

I thought it was absolutely brilliant. I won't go into spoilers as that's lame. In fact I will say nothing more about it except that in my opinion it's the best superhero movie of all time. Easily.

Horrendous review. I recommend no one listen to this guy. He is full of it. Dark Knight would have been a huge film without Heath Ledger's death. I'll agree that his death has probably meant a bigger box office opening and created a sort of strange aura about the film - but... It would have been huge anyway. His death is not why the movie is great. It's sad that he died. He seems like he was a good guy and I already thought he was a great actor... He was incredible as the Joker.

The original Batman was on cable last night. It reminded me of how much of a great actor Jack Nicholson really isn't.

Dark Night is in #1 position according to Imdb rating of 9.7/10.

I havent watch it yet but my friends said it was pretty awesome.

    Stupid and totally horrible review.
This movie is one of the greatest of all time.

It's about 700 million times better than Batman Forever.

I don't think it's fair to compare Ledger with Nicholson. The Burton Batman movies were much more comic book... Very much aimed at a younger audience. The Nolan Batman movies are far more mature. A Ledger style "Joker" would have been way too intense to fit in with the rest of the original Batman series which was much lighter in content compared to the more serious tone aimed for in Batman Begins & The Dark Knight.

Personally I far prefer Nolan's Batman movies, Burton's Batman is too cartoony for my tastes. But ... It's not really fair to blame that on the actors.

I like the original. I even liked Jack's performance. I just think he's an overrated actor, but a great performer especially if the role calls for silliness and personality like that part did.
