Hi, If me and my partner have 1 website and we both want to share Adsense iD, is it allowed? I know we can't put 2 different Pub-iD on same page while page done but, I think I saw on some forum that if you set a code that every time you refresh the iD will be niter mine or his, not 2 codes on 1 page.. what do you think??
2 codes in same page not allowed 2 codes on alternating pages is allowed put ur id on some page and ur partner id on others or use a random revenue share script but never change the code
Dude... Why go to someother forum when you already have that over on DP... The same this is on DP too... Its called AdSense Revenue Sharing.. Even you can earn pennies with this.. Just go to your User CP and click Edit Profile and enter your AdSense Pub ID in the field allotted for that. However... 2 or more accounts' ads are not allowed on one page...
Hi, What I mean is, If let's say page X have 2 ads, I know almost for sure that I can use 1 ad with my ID and second ad with my partner ID. But the big question is, if on page X I set some script that both Ads will have my ID and when I refresh both ads will have my partner Ads, is it ok? That means that both of our ID's won't collide each other.
I think he means that this forum, Digital Point, is already doing exactly what you described for your site. Every time you load the page on this forum, the Adwords Publisher ID is alternated between DP's, and whomever posted the thread. That way everyone shares in the revenue (although it is usually only pennies). AND YES, you can do the same thing on your website. Simply use a random number to either show your Publisher ID, or your partners'. The following PHP code will do what you want: if (rand(0,1) == 0) { echo "adwords-pub-id1"; } else { echo "adwords-pub-id2"; } Code (markup): This PHP code generates a random number between 0 and 1. If it generates a 0, it displays one Publisher ID. If it generates a 1, it displays the other one.
Hi, Thanks for the answer, REP added! Also I wonder, you mean Adsense and not Adwords right? Also, If I have 2 ads and I set it, so when Ad-1 have X ID the Ad-2 will have X ID as well? Since that's 2 ads I can't take a chance you know, need to make sure both Ads are on same ID
you are allowed to have two publisher ids at the same time and the same page as long as you keep the total number of ads (unit, link etc) to the maximum allowed by Google. DP is doing it right now, the publisher ID ad under the first post has 50% chance that it will not be the same with the ad on the top. Another case here ..
Hi, Are you sure? I just checked some DP pages source and every one that set his own ID have same ID on both ads, when do refresh both ads have Shown@DP ID... That's kinda contradictory your post + as I said, I think that's not allowed
Well maybe not on DP, but i stand by my advice as I was a bytehost reseller once (free hosting) and this was one of the problem we were facing. i.e my id as reseller and the free host user id. At the end one of the member actually send google an email to clarify
Thanks for the REP. 1) Yes, I mean Adsense code. 2) If you have 2 ad units on your page, then yes, I'm pretty sure they both must have the same ID. You can check with Google on this (just email Adsense support, they usually respond within a day or so). So you may want to modify the above code like this: $yourId = "adwords-pub-id1"; $partnerId = "adwords-pub-id2"; $randomNumber = rand(0,1); // FIRST AD BLOCK if ($randomNumber == 0) { echo $yourId; } else { echo $partnerId; } // SECOND AD BLOCK LATER IN PAGE if ($randomNumber == 0) { echo $yourId; } else { echo $partnerId; } Code (markup): This only generates one random number to insure only one publisher ID is ever used on the page, no matter how many ad blocks you display (you could also display a third ad block like this, etc.)
I am talking about his post. He said that he has seen on some forum that you need to enter the PUB ID and your ads will be displayed whenever your thread is seen... So.. I was saying that its not some other forum.. but.. its DP itself. Hope, you got me
Wrong on all counts. As tonyran said, you can have multiple ads on a page with different accounts ids. To paraphrase from myself when I explained it a few weeks ago: First, this line was removed from the latest TOS: "In addition, You agree that while You may display more than one (1) Ad Unit on each Site Web page, You shall not display any Ad Unit on a page that contains Ads associated with another Google AdSense customer (e.g., Your Web hosting company), unless authorized to do so by Google." Here are some details about that revision. Second, here is a thread in Google Groups where a Google employee clearly states: "You can place ad code associated with two different publishers on the same page, as long as the owner of the site has given you both permission, and the site is compliant with our program policies." Despite all of that evidence, I e-mailed my rep to make sure. Her response: Bottom line: It's fine to have multiple accounts on a single page, as long as you keep the total number of ads on the page within the limit.
Hi, I only can see that on some posts, nothing substantial. When I will see that over Adsense TOS, I'll take that seriously. Thanks for all tho!
