Looking at archive threads

    I was checking out old threads from 2006 on Directories, and i've noticed that most old directories that were posted here are either:

    changed to pay only

    a parked page

    or have thousands of pending links

    do you guys have any directories that are over 3 years old that accept free links and quick approval?

    Did you actually check that? Normally a 3 years directory shall get some good pr, and when it get some good pr, the directory onwer will change it to paid.

    Congrats. Now you will realise why 99% of the directories announced here are crap, and that your "permanent" links will last until the domain expires....

    Many domains are dropped if associated projects don't provide owners with the expected revenue, so I don't believe you find a large number of old directories accepting exclusively free links.

    yeah, whats the point of even making one, is it to make a quick buck? from what i know directories don't make that much
