I think this is really close to breaking tos.... they made the adsense link ad look like the page navigation.

I dont think it is against the TOS

they TOS dosent say anything about CSS

and if you click on link units you dont get any credits unless your click the ads that are shown in the link unts so I think it should be OK

100% sure this is AGAINST tos.

    Oh and remarks like :

Are absolute crap and add to the misinformation people get. Google's TOS doesn't mention VBscript either, but you still can't make software clicking ads...

About a year ago google started sending warnings to people putting images next to ads. They used to allow it -- and they stopped doing so. I was one of the people getting the warning and they were really clear about what the next step was... "no more acount bla bla".

The rules are simple: DO NOT DRAW ATTENTION TO THE ADS USING IMAGES and DO NOT TRY TO MAKE ADS LOOK LIKE WEBSITE NAVIGATION.

You'll be able to this for some time -- but in the end google will catch up. Play fair -- it's the only way you can make a consistent adsense income.

DO NOT THIS, DO NOT THAT

why don't you ask google yourself ?, never trust what people says if you are not even sure that they're right or wrong. if you're not sure, just stay away from gray area.

(there's even website with warez content, 7 month and still alive, google sometimes confusing .. @_@)

they don't mention about VBscript, but they mention about fraud click dude

I don't see how it would be against TOS...it's a link unit and everyone puts them up by or in navigation spot. You have to click twice on these so the first click does nothing.

I personally wouldn't put this technique in practice. Not worth risking getting your account banned.

I don't think this is allowed and emailing Google is the best way to get confirmation about this. If I remember clearly, Google mentioned that ads should not appear as if they are a part of content and that site is doing something similar.

Again, email Google Staff to get the answer before you start using this trick!!

Yep, I agree 100%. These days people are getting their accounts disabled right and left for the SMALLEST infraction. Google is playing hardball now, and it's all about keeping their clients happy, not users.

Why are people always pushing the limit with Google? They are nobody to mess with, and I, for one, am going to play STRICTLY by their rules.

Without a doubt a bannable offense. Don't be inspired by this crap, as it will get you in trouble. And it's spelled 'slick' by the way.

And they damn well should. I for one would never want to advertise on a network that allows drawing unwanted attention to my ads. Google relly wants to keep everybody (including you) happy. However, since people are a greedy and corrupt bunch by default, there needs to be very strict enforcement of a clearly outlined policy. And google is doing just that. People that have to ask themselves whether they comply are already walking the thin line.

not bad, but there is no need to do such extreme blending or if you ask me this is more "user tricking" you know.. its very easy to get a 5 to 10% ctr with only normal acceptable blending.. and honestly i would not want a ctr of more than than 10% for obvious reasons...
