Good ways to bring traffic?

    I've recently started up Meruku, a webmaster forum for owners (and potential owners) of online avatar communities. I've started building up content, and have a forum up and will be working over the next...quite some time...to continue to write relevant and important articles for the front page.

    I was wondering, though, since I'm still new to the whole marketing aspect...what would be a good way to bring in traffic? I'm working on content and getting the name out there through directories and such, but is there a way to get it really noticed?

    Post some of the articles from your website up on Digg.com

    submit some articles to ezinearticles.com

    and find other websites that are similar to your niche with higher page rank and do link exchanges.

    Social bookmarking is good, but I don't think you will get quality traffic which will result in high CTR.

    Do up a small report in your niche and make it go viral by offering it free (with your link in the report) at various places.
