How long does it take for google to look at your sites back links and show them in the search results? My site has been online since the begining of April, and I do have back links, but when I search link:www.mysite.com it shows no results. Using the software WebCEO, it shows I have backlinks and its accurate. Whats going on?
Google shows only a small part of all the backlinks when using link:www.mysite.com. And it can take months before Google update these backlinks. It is better to use Yahoo Site Explorer or the Google Webmaster Tools to check your backlinks.
It depends on what you want to see backlinks for. yahoo shows all backlinks, even the one's that are practically useless. Google doesn't count many backlinks for various reasons (backlnks from link farms, no-follow backlinks, etc.) If you want to see backlinks that constitute your PR rank, then you can only use Google Webmaster Central.
I agree with Amator only for the first thing he said. It dependes in which sites you send your link. How many pages have indexed from google and how big they are. Small sites, less pages indexed.
